CIS School Cambridge
A diverse and enriching educational experience

Learning Together

Meat Free Mondays started today at CIS Seniors. Delicious Vegetarian Lasagne. Thanks to Year 8 and Chef Will.

From their beginnings in the school children are encouraged to explore the world both inside and out, to enjoy exercising their bodies and minds and to find strength in sports and games.

Students in the Seniors have sports twice a week and Sport is available as an IGCSE subject. During sports lessons pupils are encouraged to try a range of sports focusing on the learning of new skills and using sport to develop key social skills.

A comprehensive extra-curricular programme and competition fixture card provides opportunities in several sports against independent and state schools in Cambridgeshire and across East Anglia.

Several classes are fortunate enough to have the support of our Spanish assistant who delivers part of each sports lesson in Spanish (link to Languages).

Our new sports kit is available from our online shop

All boys and girls enjoy a physical education programme which provides a rich variety of opportunities to participate in sport, represent the school and to develop a healthy lifestyle. There are many sporting options available to children from athletics to hockey and swimming to tennis, to name a few. All organised by our dedicated sports staff, these all provide children with stimulating and challenging experiences.
