Cambridge International School is a lead school in the Computing at School Network of Excellence.
Students in years 7,8 and 9 learn to become confident computational thinkers by programming conventional computers and Raspberry Pis in a variety of textual languages including Python and Ruby. We also work with Raspberry Pis and BBC Microbits to experiment with sense and control in a physical context.
Computer Science is a popular GCSE subject in which these concepts are taken further.
CIS also has a cybersecurity team which competes in the national Cybercenturion competition to learn how to secure and protect compromised computer systems.
