Computer Science

Cambridge International School is a lead school in the Computing at School Network of Excellence.

Students in years 7,8 and 9 learn to become confident computational thinkers by programming conventional computers and Raspberry Pis in a variety of textual languages including Python and Ruby. We also work with Raspberry Pis and BBC Microbits to experiment with sense and control in a physical context.

Computer Science is a popular GCSE subject in which these concepts are taken further.

CIS also has a cybersecurity team which competes in the national Cybercenturion competition to learn how to secure and protect compromised computer systems.
